Analysis of My Front Cover

On the front cover of my magazine i have decided to make it black and white, some may find this a dull colour that doesn't stand out but personally i think it shows how the artists included in the magazine represent the old classic style that started many years ago.

I placed my headline in the centre of the page as it should be the centre of attention, I have done this to grab my audience into reading.

I also placed three puffs around the cover, enticing the audience further as their is a wide variety of artists i have mentioned.

House Style Of My Music Magazine

The house style i shall be using for my magazine will be a simple black an white as it suits the Indie genre, i wanted to make it black and white as music is not about the fancy colours, colour gives everything a deeper meaning or mood, you have that in the lyrics of songs of the artists, you don't need to decorate it further.

Double Page Article

For my double page spread i shall use a close up shot of Jamie's head for one whole page, i shall get Jamie to stand at a white wall showing that the focus will be on Jamie's face, if i used a coloured background, it would distract the eye and set a mood which i do not want, i want Jamie's facial expression to intrigue the reader. He will not look straight at the camera, he shall be looking away. Like the example at the side.

Contents page Guideline

I have applied the outline to where i am going to place my images in the contents page of my magazine, i am aiming to make it the same style as NME to keep with my chosen genre of indie.

Template for my Double Page Spread

I am going to base my double page spread on this NME magazine, i'm going to add a colour that suits the mood of the band, i will use one side of the page for an image and another side for text.
